Accommodation

Mahogany Springs Lodge offers six Superior Suites and a Presidential Suite, which can be made for two to three guests. The suites offer comfortable three-quarter beds with wrap-around mosquito nets and en-suite bathrooms with showers. Power points are available in all the suites and guests can relax on the terrace. In addition, the Presidential Suite has two bedrooms and a living room. Free Wi-Fi Internet access is also available and we provide breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, as well water in the rooms. We also provide a glass of cask wine, a soft drink or a local beer with meals.

Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace or just sit and enjoy the view; relax in the living room with its double-sided fireplace, book and DVD library and board games. Portable DVD players are also available. There is a shop and a restaurant in the main building. For a memorable dining experience, Mahogany Springs offers a private bush breakfast or dinner by the river, subject to availability. The bar is stocked with a great selection of International branded spirits, wines, liquors and soft drinks, and guests can book a massage with a fully qualified masseuse.

Rates – changes depending on time of the year, number of guests in a group, whether you are a resident of East Africa and a number of other factors. For groups of 10 or more there are further discounts to be had.

All guests stay Full Board which includes – Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner.

Also included is water provided in the rooms and with meals, a glass of cask wine or soft drink or local beer with dinner.

• In the low Season (March, Apr, May, Oct and Nov) rates starting from as low as $205 per person per night in a twin or double or $290 for a single.
• In the high Season (Jan, Feb, June, July, Aug, Sept and Dec) rates starting from as low as $245 per person per night in a twin or double or $325 for a single.

The lodge also offers privacy and serenity blended with optimal comfort in a spectacular setting. It is the ideal base from which to begin your gorilla trekking or bird watching adventures.

Gorillas have been known to the visit and coming face to face with one of these peaceful creatures is an indescribable experience. Guests can go gorilla tracking on foot through the jungle until you find them and spend time watching them interact. Please note this must be booked prior to arrival. There are various nature walks and guests can participate in planting a tree at an additional cost. Guests will see more bird species per square kilometre and therefore, Bwindi is often described as birdwatchers paradise.
